 This adjustment is often necessary when the door is leaning too far into or away from the cabinet box, especially when bumpers are used.

This adjustment is often necessary when the door spacing needs to be changed because it is rubbing or doesn’t look correct.

MCK Cabinets come standard with soft-close hinges. There may be times when you want to adjust this feature to be completely off or make adjustments for a heavier door.

Removing your cabinet doors

Easily disconnect your hinges to remove doors for maintenance or easier access to cabinet interiors

You might choose to remove your cabinet doors for cleaning, maintenance, or easier access—such as reaching plumbing beneath the sink. The good news: no tools are required. If you’re removing multiple doors, be sure to label each one to remember its original location.

With the doors still installed, it’s difficult to clearly see the hinge components we’ll be working with in this process.

Removing your cabinet drawers

Remove your metal sided drawer box for maintenance or easier access to cabinet interiors

You might choose to remove your cabinet drawers for cleaning or maintenance. The good news: no tools are required. If you’re removing multiple drawers, be sure to label each one to remember its original location.

MCK has used different drawer systems over the years. These instructions are for the white metal drawer box system shown below. The inside walls angle-in slightly and there are rectangular caps on the outside that cover the adjustment screws.

Removing your WOOD cabinet drawers

Remove your wood or melamine drawer box for maintenance or easier access to cabinet interiors

You might choose to remove your cabinet drawers for cleaning or maintenance. The good news: no tools are required. If you’re removing multiple drawers, be sure to label each one to remember its original location.

MCK has used different drawer systems over the years. These instructions are for the melamine or wood drawer box system shown below. The walls are straight and equal thickness with no plastic covers for adjustment screws on the sides. Solid wood may show a dovetail assembly in the corners. Melamine may be white, coloured or wood grain.
